Description
Genus Macrolophus Fieber
Macrolophus Fieber, 1858: 326. Type species: Capsus nubilus Herrich-Schaeffer 1835:135; preoccupied, next available name Phytocoris pygmaeus Rambur 1839:163 (Henry & Wheeler 1988:264). Designated by Kirkaldy 1906:129.
Diagnosis. Eyes separated from pronotum by a distance greater than the thickness of antennal segment II; frons produced slightly between antennae; head with a longitudinal dark stripe behind each eye; margins behind eyes somewhat parallel. (Ferreira & Henry 2011).
