Buenoa pallens (Champion, 1901)

Geographic distribution. United States (J. Polhemus 1997), Mexico (Hungerford 1936b), Guatemala (Champion 1901), Cayman Islands (Hungerford 1940), U.S. Virgin Islands, Guadeloupe, Dominica, Costa Rica, Panama (Truxal 1953), St. Vincent & the Grenadines (Harrison & Rankin 1976), Grenada, Trinidad & Tobago, Colombia (Truxal 1953), Venezuela (Herrera Millán 2005), Guyana / Brazil, Brazil, Ecuador, Peru (Truxal 1953).

Distribution in Peru. Amazonas, Cajamarca (Truxal 1953; De Abate 1960).

Notes. Truxal (1953) recorded B. pallens from Chile based on specimens collected by H. H. Keifer in Magdalena Island, on May 19, 1925. During this period, Keifer was collecting in Islas Marías, Mexico, not in Chile (van Doesburg 1968: 72; Kelsey 1969: 142).
