Description

Ghana is committed to an ambitious Greenhouse gas emission reduction target with 10 and 20% RE integration in 2030 and 2070, respectively. This report explores potential pathways for Ghana to achieve its SDG7 targets amidst a growing energy demand. The Open source energy modelling tool (OSeMOSYS) was used to develop three scenarios to model the energy sector of Ghana. The report is a summary of the project conducted during the Energy Modelling Platform for Africa (EMP-A) 2024.
