1.Data source

This tyre defect X-ray dataset comes from the open dataset of Shanghai University Network Control Centre. The original link to the dataset is below: https://aistudio.baidu.com/datasetdetail/215731

2. Data content and structure

There are 1142 training set images, 382 validation set images and 381 test set images in this dataset. The resolution of each image is 480x480 pixels. The data is stored in JPG format.

3. Data labelling and tagging

Each image contains an annotation file in TXT format, which records the location and type of defects, including four types of defects: "open", "cord_defects", "impurity", and "belt_cuobian".

4. Description of data use

The dataset is mainly used for the study of tyre defect detection, especially for defects containing elongated features. Due to the characteristics of the dataset, it may not be suitable for other types of image detection tasks.
