Type Locality: Venezuela, Mérida, " R. Albarregas.".
Vernacular Names: Northern Gracile Opossum.
Synonyms: Gracilinanus perijae Hershkovitz 1992.
Distribution: N Colombia and Venezuela.
Conservation: IUCN – Lower Risk (nt); Data Deficient as G. perijae.
