Type Locality: Philippines, Mindanao, Mount Apo, Davao.

Vernacular Names: Mindanao Gymnure.

Synonyms: Podogymnura minima Sanborn 1954.

Distribution: Mindanao Isl (Philippines).

Conservation: IUCN – Endangered.

Discussion: Includes minima Sanborn, 1953; see data of Heaney and Morgan (1982).
