Type Locality: " Guinea ".

Vernacular Names: Mona Monkey.

Synonyms: Cercopithecus monacha (Schreber 1804); Cercopithecus monella (Schreber 1804).

Distribution: Ghana to Cameroon; introduced into Lesser Antilles (Caribbean).

Conservation: CITES – Appendix II; IUCN – Lower Risk (lc).

Discussion: C. mona species group.
