Discussion: Includes Mico (see Cabrera, 1958:185), Cebuella (see Groves, 1989:110-115), and Callithrix as subgenera, which Rylands et al. (2000) regarded as full genera. McKenna and Bell (1997) recognized Cebuella as a separate genus, but it forms a clade with Mico (Groves, 2001 c). The fourth subgenus, Calibella, was described by van Roosmalen and van Roosmalen (2003) as a full genus.
