Capricornis swinhoei Gray 1862, Ann. Mag. Nat. Hist., ser. 3, 10: 320.

Type Locality: "Formosa [Taiwan], on the central ridge of the Snowy Mountains".

Vernacular Names: Formosan Serow.

Distribution: Taiwan.

Conservation: IUCN – Vulnerable.

Discussion: Regarded as a species distinct from C. crispus by Groves and Grubb (1985).
