Taphozous (Taphozous) kapalgensis McKean and Friend 1979, Victorian Nat., 96: 239.

Type Locality: Australia, Northern Territory, S Alligator River, near Rookery Point, Kapalga.

Vernacular Names: Arnhem Tomb Bat.

Distribution: Northern Territory (Australia).

Conservation: IUCN 2003 and IUCN / SSC Action Plan (2001) – Vulnerable.

Discussion: Subgenus Taphozous. Reviewed by Chimimba and Kitchener (1991).
