Type Locality: Colombia, Chocó, Condoto.

Vernacular Names: Chestnut Long-tongued Bat.

Distribution: E Panama, Colombia, Venezuela, Guianas, Amazonian Peru and Brazil.

Conservation: IUCN 2003 and IUCN / SSC Action Plan (2001) – Lower Risk (lc).
