Type Locality: Jamaica.

Vernacular Names: Leach's Single-leaf Bat.

Subspecies::

Subspecies Monophyllus redmani subsp. clinedaphus Miller 1900

Subspecies Monophyllus redmani subsp. portoricensis Miller 1900

Distribution: Cuba, Hispaniola, Puerto Rico, Jamaica, S Bahama Isls.

Conservation: IUCN 2003 and IUCN / SSC Action Plan (2001) – Lower Risk (lc).
