Comments.

The species is endemic to southwestern Angola and northern Namibia (Marques et al. 2018; Ceríaco et al. 2020 c; Lobón-Rovira et al. 2021). Although H. benguellensis appears to be very common in the Angolan Escarpment areas, it has also been found in more coastal environments in southwestern Namibe Province (Lobón-Rovira et al. 2021). The species is strongly associated with rupiculous habitats.
