A CULTURA DO CANCELAMENTO E SEUS IMPACTOS PSICOLÓGICOS E SOCIAIS NA SOCIEDADE CONTEMPORÂNEA

Este estudo propõe analisar as características e o funcionamento da cultura do cancelamento, relacionando-a com o indivíduo e suas relações humanas e virtuais e, para isso, concentrar-se-á na revisão bibliográfica com o objetivo norteador de mostrar os impactos desse uso indevido da internet que causa o fenômeno, além de compreender os comportamentos que levam a sociedade a essa conduta. A Cultura do Cancelamento é um fenômeno que ocorre na internet quando um indivíduo ou uma instituição demonstram comportamentos inaceitáveis para a sociedade, trazendo consequências, dentro e fora da web, nas relações interpessoais e para os indivíduos envolvidos. Após a análise e a apresentação de exemplos, será possível perceber que a origem da Cultura do Cancelamento veio como uma justiça social e sua utilização se tornou autoritária, desproporcional e radical, causando violência física, psicológica e virtual. São necessários mais estudos para contribuir para o uso correto da internet e desta cultura na sociedade, com o intuito de refletir e prevenir prejuízos que, muitas vezes, serão irreversíveis.
Abstract (English)
This study proposes to analyze the characteristics and functioning of the cancel culture, relating it to the individual and their human and virtual relationships and, for that, it will focus on the bibliographic review with the guiding objective of showing the impacts of this misuse. of the internet that causes the phenomenon, in addition to understanding the behaviors that lead society to this behavior. The Cancel Culture is a phenomenon that occurs on the internet when an individual or an institution demonstrates unacceptable behavior to society, bringing consequences, inside and outside the web, in interpersonal relationships and for the individuals involved. After analyzing and presenting examples, it will be possible to perceive that the origin of the Cancel Culture came as a social justice and its use became authoritarian, disproportionate and radical, causing physical, psychological and virtual violence. More studies are needed to contribute to the correct use of the internet and this culture in society, in order to reflect and prevent damage that will often be irreversible.
