The study examines the relationship between Human Resource Practices on organizational performance with specific focus on staff of Jos Electricity Distribution Company (JED) while the specific objective of the Study is to examine the effect of employee development on organizational performance. In this study the survey research was used, which is the most common in social science research. the study covered 65 staff of Admin and finance department of Jos Electricity Distribution Company (JED). The data collection method that was employed by the researcher himself and research assistant involved administrating well-structured questionnaires that utilize the 5-points-likert-scale and gathered accurate information. The correlation and regression analysis was used to test the research hypotheses at 0.05 significance level. The result shows that Beta=0.279, Sig.0.001 and found that Employee Development have significant relationship with organizational Performance. It is recommended that the proper management of human resources has enormous relationship with organizational performance, Management of Jos Electricity Distribution Company (JED) should start to incorporate HRM thinking into business strategies and make the HR function strategically proactive. Furthermore, Jos Electricity Distribution Company (JED) should create and sustain competitive advantage and improve organizational performance.
