An in silico investigation of corticostriatal oscillatory entrainment
Authors/Creators
Description
- Oscillatory entrainment of SPNs and FS is higher for low frequencies, as measured
by the synchronization index. - SPNs are weakly entrained by FS oscillations.
- With a low cortical drive gap junctions (GJ) shunt away FS spikes, whereas with an
increased input they increase the number of spikes. Thus, GJ increase the signal-
to-noise ratio of FS populations, conveying the oscillations more effectively.
