CARLAVIRUS COMPLEX: DIAGNOSTIC SPECIES

  • 1. Institute of Agroecology and Environmental Management of the National Academy of Agrarian Sciences of Ukraine
  • 2. Institute of Horticulture of the National Academy of Agrarian Sciences of Ukraine

Description

The authors analyzed the data on the host range of the Carlavirus complex (American hop latent virus, hop
latent virus and hop mosaic virus) infecting Humulus lupulus L. and selected diagnostic species for this species complex. As a result, 12 diagnostic species and subspecies with documented responses to inoculation
with each species of the Carlavirus complex were selected. In future research, this data can be utilized for the
identification of the Carlavirus complex and the classification of unidentifiable filamentous viruses infecting
the common hop.
