A framework for the Research Data Commons infrastructure

A framework and set of rules for the Research Data Commons is being developed in Task Area 4 Measure 5 - Governance and Monitoring of NFDI4Biodiversity. The measure deals with the non-technical issues of the Research Data Commons as an overarching service architecture. In this way, we are preparing the ground for the subsequent operation of a scientific data platform to which many different data and service providers can contribute. Non-technical topics include basic participation rules for resource providers, agreements on quality assurance and uniform access to services as well as processes for good decisions on technical innovations and forms of collaboration. The work in TA4M5 is linked to the joint development of the infrastructure in the overall NFDI, specifically to working groups in the section Common Infrastructures and the IAM4NFDI basic service.
