Utilizing an autoethnographic perspective in information work is a valuable tool for understanding the essential requirements of users for an African American virtual art library, gallery, and repository. This approach allows for a more nuanced understanding of the diverse needs of individuals engaging with the platform, ART | library deco. By employing this method, we can gain a comprehensive understanding of the cultural and societal factors that influence users' expectations regarding information work, access, retrieval, and use.
