This article analyzes the trends in the labor market of the People's Republic of China in the context of the globalization of the world economy. Such aspects as demographic changes, urbanization, migration flows, and changes in the sectoral structure of employment are considered. Special attention is paid to the state's policy in the field of labor market regulation and social protection of employees. It is shown that, despite the overall growth of the economy and living standards in China, there remains significant inequality in wages and working conditions between urban and rural areas, between different regions. It is concluded that further reform of the social protection system is necessary to ensure balanced and sustainable growth.
