SPECIMENS EXAMINED. Vietnam: Thai Nguyen: 1 ♀, An Lac, Phu Luong, 1–19.x.2017, Malaise trap, Coll. Dang Thi Hoa.
DISTRIBUTION. Vietnam: Thai Nguyen. China, Indonesia, Japan, Malaysia, Philippines, Sri Lanka, Taiwan, Thailand [Pulawski, 2022]. New record from Vietnam.
REMARKS. Trypoxylon thaianum is a member of the T. scutatum species group [Tsuneki, 1981f].
