DirectionalAMBI

The DirectionalAMBI (Directional sound sources Anechoic chaMBer spherIcal array dataset) is an audio collection that was recorded on the campus of the Communication University of China. This dataset is recorded using the Eigenmike em32 in an anechoic chamber, capturing sound sources from 12 different directions, and includes three different distances.

The DirectionalAMBI includes two primary types of Ambisonics signals:

• High-order Ambisonics recordings captured in an anechoic chamber. These recordings feature different directional sound sources (for white noise & sweep signals), allowing for a detailed analysis of sound propagation and localization in a controlled setting. Additionally, the dataset also includes four traditional Chinese instruments, consistently oriented towards a spherical array, for examining their directivity and 3D sound fields.

• First-order Ambisonics signals recorded within the campus environment of the Communication University of China, which serves as experimental and reference materials for comparative analysis.

For Users:

After downloading the split files from this page, navigate to the corresponding directory and run the following command:

 cat CUC_AMBI.part* > CUC_AMBI.zip

Then extracting the files with:

 zip CUC_AMBI.zip
