Description
Etymology. The species is named after Yan Qing, a character in the classic Chinese novel Outlaws of the Marsh; noun in apposition.
Diagnosis. The new species is similar to F. valentine by males having the retrolateral tibial apophysis with an internal branch. However, the males of the new species can be distinguished from F. valentine by the retro-proximal cymbial process in ventral view protrudes from the cymbium. (vs. indistinct), terminal part of dorsal tibial apophysis with a hook (vs. almost straight) and tegular apophysis 2 times longer than wide (vs. as long as wide). Females of the new species can be distinguished from F. valentine by the copulatory openings separated by a septum (vs. touching each other).
Description. Male (holotype). Total length 2.46, carapace1.21 long, 0.91 wide, opisthosoma 1.25 long, 0.86 wide. Endites and labium brown. Sternum yellowish brown. Legs brown with black setae. Opisthosoma oval, gray, without black pattern, covered with long gray setae. Spinnerets gray.
Palp (Fig. 12). Femur almost 4 times longer than patella. Patella as long as tibia. Retrolateral tibial apophysis divided: wide ventro-retrolateral tibial apophysis and narrow dorsal retrolateral tibial apophysis with a seta. Dorsal tibial apophysis thin basally, dilated centrally, knife shaped, tip recurved. Fold present. Retro-proximal cymbial outgrowth obvious. Tegulum with keel. Tegular apophysis contracted medially, darker at tip. Conductor partially wrapped around embolus, tip pointed. Embolus originating at approximately 9-o’clock -position, with broad, lamellar process medially.
Female (Ar44802). Total length 1.92, carapace 1.03 long, 0.75 wide, opisthosoma 1.26 long, 0.91 wide.
