Description
The intricate relationship between climate change, female migration, and food security in the context of the Capitalocene demands a holistic approach. Interdisciplinary analysis reveals that women are essential agents in both responses and vulnerabilities associated with these phenomena. Addressing the challenges of female migration requires policies that take into account not only climatic aspects but also the gender power structures that shape these experiences. The main objective of this research is to investigate and understand, using an interdisciplinary approach, the complex relationship between climate change caused by the
Capitalocene, population displacements focusing on female migrations from the perspective of feminist economics, and the resulting impacts on global food security. This study will consider the Brazilian case and aims to construct a conceptual map to serve as the foundation for research conducted within the 'Phoenix - Human Mobility, Global Challenges, and Resilience in an Age of Social Stress' project.
