Sitona lineellus (Bonsdorff, 1785)

Balalaikins), Ilgas, Silene NPT, 26 June 1997 (1, leg. A. Barševskis), Naujene, 15 May 1993 (1, leg. A. Barševskis); Jēkabpils d.: Dunava, June 2002 (1, leg. A. Barševskis); Rīga d.: Vecdaugava, 31 May 1974 (2 ex.), 18 June 1974 (2 ex.), 1 July 1974 (1 ex.); Talsi d.: Kaļķi, 1 June 1973 (2, meadow, leg. M. Šternbergs); Ventspils d.: Zlēkas, (1 ex.).
Host plants: Astragalus, Lathyrus, Medicago, Spartium, Trifolium, Vicia (Fabaceae).
Phenology: V-VII.
General distribution: Europe, Caucasus, Siberia, Central Asia (Kazakhstan), East Asia (China, Russian Far East, Japan, Mongolia) [ASE]. Has been introduced in N America.
Note: An infrequent species in Latvia.
