Reducing Redundancy: Practices and Methods to Remove Duplicate Vendor Supplied Bibliographic Records

Managing e-book bibliographic records from multiple vendors can pose significant challenges for both end users and resource managers. This repository presents the outcomes of a presentation delivered at the Electronic Resources & Libraries Conference in 2019, held in Austin, Texas.

The presentation focused on addressing the complexities of managing e-book bibliographic records and highlighted processes and automated methods aimed at reducing duplication, prioritizing vendor-supplied record groups, and enhancing access to e-books with preferred rights and improved interfaces. By streamlining these processes, the aim was to ultimately enhance the user experience for accessing e-books within library collections.
