Eleutheronema rhadinum

Description

RESULTS

The specimen is 219.6 mm of standard length, and 273.1 mm of total length. The pectoral fin membranes are black (Fig. 2). Adipose eyelid is well developed. Main morphometric parameters are presented in table Ⅰ. Anterior part of lower jaw display small teeth extending onto lateral surface, adjacent portion of lip absent (Fig. 3). Teeth are villiform in broad bands on vomer, palatines and ectopterygoids. Vomer has deciduous tooth plates on both sides. The specimen was easily identified as E. rhadinum due to its pectoral filaments, pored lateral-line scales, and scale rows above and below lateral line. The distinctive characters agree with those given by and Motomura (2004), and Ni and Wu (2006).
