Scripts used to simulate human kinship systems presented in "Patrilineal segmentary systems provide a peaceful explanation for the post-Neolithic Y-chromosome bottleneck". This pipeline simulates human genomes under scenarios with different descent (bilateral, patrilineal, matrilineal) and residence (patrilocal, matrilocal) rules and computing diversity estimators on simulated genetic data.
