VitiGEOSS Intelligent service: Phenology monitoring and forecast service

Authors/Creators

Description

The phenology monitoring and forecasting service enables better vineyard management, supporting winegrowers’ decisions. It provides different AI and mechanistic models for monitoring and predicting the onset of key phenology stages, leveraging heterogeneous data sources such as satellite imagery, weather observations from in-field stations, weather predictions, and images obtained from in-field cameras. The supported phenology phases are bud break, blooming, fruit set, veraison, and berry maturity (i.e., the maturation level desired for harvest), pivotal milestones guided by the renowned Baggiolini Scale.

Notes

The VitiGEOSS project has received funding from the European Union's Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme under grant agreement No. 869565
