Description
This Guideline and Toolkit was initiated in partnership with the SADC Secretariat on Science, Technology and Innovation (STI), the Council for Scientific and Industrial Research (SANBio), and the Southern African Research & Innovation Management Association (SARIMA) to support and promote the implementation of the SADC Protocol on Science, Technology and Innovation concerning the Nagoya Protocol.
Researchers, research institutions and governments of the SADC member states can adopt this Regional Research Ethics Guideline and Toolkit as a standard approach to applying moral and professional codes of research ethics and integrity and conduct, and good ethical practices when undertaking research in terms of the Nagoya Protocol.
The Northern Regions Community of Practice prepared this Guideline and Toolkit for Research Ethics and Integrity in Southern Africa in collaboration with SANBio and SARIMA.
