Data from: Resource level modifies heatwave responses in the freshwater snail Lymnaea stagnalis

Data are saved as a tab-delimited text file (data.txt). Each row represents one snail individual.

The file has the following columns:

1) block - block of the experiment (2 blocks)
2) food - food treatment (0 = no food, 1 = reduced food, 2 = unlimited food)
3) temperature - ambient temperature during the heatwave phase of the experiment
4) intial_length - shell length (mm) at the beginning of the acclimation period of the experiment
5) length_start_HW - shell length (mm) at the beginning of the heatwave phase of the experiment
6) length_end_HW - shell length (mm) at the end of the heatwave phase of the experiment
7) length_end_recovery - shell length (mm) at the end of the recovery phase of the experiment
8) respiration_end_HW - respiration rate (mg O2 h-1) at the end of the heatwave phase of the experiment
9) respiration_end_recovery - respiration rate (mg O2 h-1) at the end of the recovery phase of the experiment
10) eggs_HW - the number of eggs laid during the heatwave phase of the experiment
11) eggs_recovery - the number of eggs laid during the recovery phase of the experiment
12) antibact_end_HW - haemolymph antibacterial activity (milliunits) at the end of the heatwave phase of the experiment
13) antibact_end_recovery - haemolymph antibacterial activity (milliunits) at the end of the recovery phase of the experiment
14) laccase_end_HW - haemolymph laccase activity (milliunits) at the end of the heatwave phase of the experiment
15) laccase_end_recovery - haemolymph laccase activity (milliunits) at the end of the recovery phase of the experiment
16) PO_end_HW - haemolymph PO activity (milliunits) at the end of the heatwave phase of the experiment
17) PO_end_recovery - haemolymph PO activity (milliunits) at the end of the recovery phase of the experiment
18) food_consumption_end_HW - lettuce consumption (g d-1) at the end of the heatwave phase of the experiment (measured only from snails with unlimited food supply)
19) food_consumption_end_recovery - lettuce consumption (g d-1) at the end of the recovery phase of the experiment (measured only from snails with unlimited food supply)

Missing values in the data are denoted with "n/a".
