Description

Sarcophaga (Helicophagella) maculata

Sarcophaga maculata Meigen, 1835: 71. Type locality: Germany.

Distribution. Afghanistan, Albania, Algeria, Canary Island (Azores) China, Egypt, Iran, Iraq, Israel, Italy, Lebanon, Mongolia, Morocco, Poland, Saudi Arabia, Spain, Syria, Turkey, ‘Yugoslavia’.

Remarks. First record from Saudi Arabia found in this study is by Verves (1986a).
