Poesía y música en la taifa de Sevilla (1023-1091)
Description
La taifa independiente de Sevilla durante la dinastía abadí (1023-1091) fue un importante foco cultural que tendría su epicentro en los Reales Alcázares. Sus dos últimos reyes, al-Mu'tadid y al-Mu'tamid, padre e hijo, fueron reputados poetas y grandes mecenas que atrajeron a su corte a intelectuales, artistas y científicos. La corte alcanzó su cenit durante el reinado de al-Mu'tamid (1069-1090). Los poemas cantados, plagados de sensualidad y hedonismo, y los sonidos del laúd debieron resonar en los jardines y residencia del monarca, cuyos restos han sido localizados en las casas adyacentes al patio de Banderas del Alcázar de Sevilla.
The independent taifa of Seville during the Abbasid dynasty ( 1023-1091) was an important cultural centre with its epicentre in the Reales Alcázares. Its last two kings, al-Mu'tadid and al-Mu'tamid, father and son, were renowned poets and great patrons who attracted intellectuals, artists and scientists to their court. The court reached its zenith during the reign of al-Mu'tamid (1069-1090). The sung poems, full of sensuality and hedonism, and the sounds of the lute must have resounded in the gardens and residence of the monarch, whose remains have been located in the houses adjacent to the Patio de Banderas in the Alcazar of Seville.
