Alchisme turrita

Description
Alchisme turrita (Germar, 1835a: 243):
Alchisme turrita is recorded from Country (Panama) only in Goding 1929e: 207 and in Metcalf & Wade 1965a: 562–563. It is also listed as A. veruta (Germar), Country (Panamá) only, in McKamey & Deitz(1996a: 313) who reinstated A. veruta as a valid species apart from A. turrita. Goding 1929e: 207 synonymized A. turrita with A. veruta Fowler, citing Fowler’s Panama distribution for A. veruta. Alchisme turrita distribution, according to McKamey (1998: 178) is Argentina, Brazil, Ecuador, and Peru therefore A. turrita was erroneously recorded for Panama.
