Standardised Type Token Ratio in Shakespeare's monologues
Authors/Creators
Description
The script retrieves the monologues of Shakespeare's plays via the Folger Shakespeare API (https://www.folgerdigitaltexts.org/api). For each play, it calculates the STTR of the monologues. Then it sorts the plays according to their STTR.
The script has not been created to study Shakespeare's monologues, but to provide an example of data reuse from the Folger Shakespeare API.
