FEIM: a web-based open source platform for running a Food Enzyme Intake Model

Description

A WEB tool for the Food Enzyme Intake Model (FEIM) accessible by EFSA, industries, applicants and risk assessors. It allows users to run autonomously their exposure estimation to enzyme intake. This estimation is done combining data from the EFSA comprehensive food consumption database and an ad-hoc database containing for each relevant industrial food process, a list of relevant foods and factors (that needs to be multiplied to an inputted use level to get the right TOS to be used for each food). Included in this DOI is the source code, written in R. It contains the calculations as well as the frontend UI implementation of the tool.
