The Politics of Restructuring and the Nigerian National Question

This study examined the prospects of further restructuring as a panacea for resolving the Nigerian National Question. It chronicled the various instances which restructuring has been carried out even before the country became independent till date. It was discovered that all those efforts have not resolved the ethnic sentiments and agitations that has been the bane of social integration and national cohesion in Nigeria. Using the historical descriptive method, the study recommended, among others, the constitution of a sovereign national conference to enable the various peoples that make up the polyglot called Nigeria to determine their fate and future.
