Code and data for the article: Between the Lines: Life Cycle Collision and Electrocution Impacts of Power Lines on Birds in Norway

This repository contains the data required to run the collision and electrocution LCIA models and reproduce the results, as well as output data generated in various formats. The models are described in the paper "Between the Lines: Life Cycle Collision and Electrocution Impacts of Power Lines on Birds in Norway".

The files "01_data_preparation.R", "02_double_pylons_cleaner.py", and "03_forest_cover_convert.py" describe how to prepare and modify the raw data for the analysis. The raw data are not provided, yet links to the sources are provided either in the R code ("01_data_preparation.R") or in the paper.

To run the models, run "04_collision_electrocution_models.R".

To calculate characterization factors, run "05_characterisation_factors.R".

To run sensitivity analysis for the collision risk probability, wingspan, and pylon use, run "06_sensitivity_analysis.R".
