Description

The supporting material for 'How long-lived grains dominate the shape of the Zodiacal Cloud'.

This contribution contains:

  • Numerical integrations used for the test case described in Section 4 of our manuscript (Test_Case.tar.gz);
  • A subset of numerical integrations of Jupiter-family comets used manuscript:
    • Particle diameters between 0.6813 um and 3.162 um (JFC_Dataset_Sample_0.6813_3.162um.tar.gz)
    • Particle diameters between 4.642 um and 21.54 um (JFC_Dataset_Sample_4.642_21.54um.tar.gz)
    • Particle diameters between 31.62 um and 146.8 um (JFC_Dataset_Sample_31.62_146.8um.tar.gz)
    • Particle diameters between 215.4 um and 1000 um (JFC_Dataset_Sample_215.4_1000um.tar.gz)
    • Particle diameters between 1468 um and 10000 um (JFC_Dataset_Sample_1468_10000um.tar.gz)
  • Text files with observational constraints from CMOR and AMOR radars (Data_Constraints.tar.gz)
  • Sample inputs for running various cases described in the manuscript (Sample_Inputs.tar.gz)

Data description:

Binary files with numerical integrations (Test_Case.tar.gz and JFC_Dataset_Samples) - each line in the files has the following format: 

  1. particle id (integer - 4 bytes)
  2. simulation time (float - 4 bytes - unit: years)
  3. position x (float - 4 bytes - unit: au)
  4. position y (float - 4 bytes - unit: au)
  5. position z (float - 4 bytes - unit: au)
  6. velocity x (float - 4 bytes - unit: au/day)
  7. velocity y (float - 4 bytes - unit: au/day)
  8. velocity z (float - 4 bytes - unit: au/day)

Total 32 bytes per line (particle record)

Data_Constrains.tar.gz and Sample_Inputs.tar.gz are ASCII files.
