Type locality: India, near Benares

Type locality: S. Andamans, Port Blair

Distribution. Indian records: Benares, Punjab, Hindostan (Walker 1859a), Andaman, Khasis (Meghalaya), Sikkim, Darjeeling (West Bengal) (Gupta 1994), Kerala (Das et al. 2020a), Andaman and Nicobar Islands (Reddy & Murthy 2021), Assam, Meghalaya (Joshi et al. 2021). Global records: Ceylon, Nepal, Sylhet (Walker 1859a), Burma, Perak, Ternate, Amboina (Hampson 1896b).
