Type locality: Bangladesh, Silhet [Sylhet]. Central India

= Margaronia amphitritalis Walker, 1866a: 1363

Type locality: Indonesia, N Maluku, Gilolo [Halmahera], Mysol [Misool, West Papua]. New Guinea

Distribution. Indian records: Central India (Guenée, 1854), Hindostan (Walker 1859b), Khasi (Meghalaya), Sikkim (Gupta 1994), Kerala (Das et al. 2020a), Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Sikkim, Tripura (Reddy & Murthy 2021). Global records: Shan States, Mysol, Solomons (Hampson 1896b).
