Type locality: Malaysia, Malacca

= Spilomela ommatalis Snellen, 1880a: 235

Type locality: Celebes [Sulawesi], Balangnipa, Makassar

Distribution. Indian records: Sikkim (Snellen 1890), Dharmsala, Andamans, Khasis (Hampson 1896b), Himalayas, Coimbatore (Tamil Nadu) (Gupta 1994), East Himalaya (Sanyal et al. 2018), West Bengal, Meghalaya, Andaman (Chandra et al. 2019), Kerala (Das et al. 2020a), Assam, Maharashtra (Sondhi et al. 2021). Global records: Mailla, Borneo, Celebes (Hampson 1896b), Nepal (Yamanaka 1995), Bhutan, Malaysia, Philippines (Chandra et al. 2019), Java, Sumatra (Pathania et al. 2021b).
