Type locality: Dutch New Guinea [Papua], Snow Mountains, Base Camp, Canoe Camp

Distribution. Indian records: Sikhim, Khasis, Andamans (Hampson 1896b), Andaman, Sikkim, Nagrishpur (Darjeeling, West Bengal), Khasi (Meghalaya) (Gupta 1994), Kerala (Mathew & Menon 1984), Tirap, Namsangmukh, North Cachar Hills, Jatinga (Kirti & Sodhi 2001), Tamil Nadu (Das et al. 2020a). Global records: Bangladesh, Silhet [Sylhet] (Guenée 1854), New Guinea (Walker 1866a), Ceram (Hampson 1896b).
