Type locality: Ceylon [Sri Lanka]

Distribution. Indian records: Nagas (Hampson 1896b), Calcutta (Sevastopulo 1938), Kerala (Mathew & Menon 1984), Andaman Islands (Rao & Sivaperuman 2020), Assam (Joshi et al. 2021), Karnataka (Reddy & Murthy 2021). Global records: Ceylon, Celebes (Hampson 1896b), Dem. Rep. Congo (Ghesquière 1942), Australia (Shaffer et al. 1996).
