Type locality: South Africa, Gariep [Orange] River; Limpopo River
Distribution. Indian records: Andaman Islands (Rao & Sivaperuman 2020). Global records: Sulawesi (Snellen 1883), Mozambique (de Joannis 1927), Namibia (Brandberg) (Maes 2004).
