Type locality: Afghanistan, Gulbahar, 1700 m

Distribution. Indian records: N. W. Himalayas, Punjab, Poona (Hampson 1896b), Calcutta (Sevastopulo 1938), North India (Rose & Dhillon 1980c), Kerala, Maharashtra (Das et al. 2020a). Global records: W. Africa, Karachi, Ceylon, Australia (Hampson 1896b).
