= Tauba venosella Walker, 1866b: 1767
Type locality: Ceylon [Sri Lanka]
= Hypotia philornis Meyrick, 1937: 141
Type locality: Indonesia, Java, Telawa
Distribution. Indian records: Bombay (Hampson 1896b), India (Hampson 1896a). Global records: Bhutan, Ceylon, Borneo (Hampson 1896b), Nepal (Yamanaka 1995), widely distributed from India to New Guinea and Taiwan, in SE Asia from Thailand, W. Malaysia, Singapore, Sumatra, java, Brunei, Sabah, Sarawak (Robinson et al. 1994), Borneo (Sutton et al. 2015).
