Dinocryptops Crabill 1953

Description

= DINOCRYPTOPS CRABILL, 1953 SYN. NOV.

Type species: Scolopocryptops melanostoma Newport, 1845, by subsequent designation of Lucas (1849).

Included species: Twenty-two valid species are recognized in Chilobase (http://chilobase.bio.unipd.it) (Minelli et al., 2006 onwards). One has been placed in synonymy since the most recent update; Scolopocryptops verdescens (Chamberlin, 1920) is a junior subjective synonym of S. melanostoma Newport fide Chagas Juniór (2010).
