RODEOSUCHUS GEN. NOV.

Etymology
The name refers to Rodeo, the name of the river that passes close to the type locality (Cementerio de Tortugas), and the Latinized Ancient Greek name Σοῦχος, Soûkhos, used for the Egyptian crocodile god Sobek.
