Body length 5.8 mm, fore wing length 4.6 mm and antenna length 7.8 mm.

Antenna with 52 [54 in a excluded specimen] flagellomeres. Terminal flagellomere weakly acuminate. Median flagellomeres approximately 1.5 x longer than wide. Frons with conchoidal pattern of weak ridges behind each antennal socket. Occipital carina strong, complete and lamelliform, forming a weak point or lobe medio-dorsally, ventrally joining occipital carina. Mesopleuron largely longitudinally striate to rugose anteriorly and along broad precoxal sulcus, aciculate posteriorly, speculum present with moderate sized smooth glossy area. Midlongitudinal propodeal carina largely complete, but absent at extreme posterior where it is bordered by a pair of anteriorly diverging carinae. Fore wing vein 2-CU1 1.7 x 1-CU1. Apex of fore wing subbasal cell with distinct glabrous zone posteriorly. Fore wing vein 3-SR 1.3 x vein r. Fore wing vein 2-SR+M 0.95 x vein r. Fore wing vein SR1 2.5 x vein 3-SR. Hind wing vein M+CU 1.55 x 1-M Hind wing subbasal cell evenly setose. Hind wing vein m-cu welldeveloped, pigmented, antefurcal. Hind coxa with a trace of oblique ridges on basal half dorsally and medially. Apex of hind tibia with combs of specialsed adpressed setae apico medially and apicoventrally between spurs. Claws with pecten of approximately 7 discrete slender teeth extend along basal lobe and into gap between basal lobe and claw proper. Basal lobes of 1 st tergite moderately large, posteriorly concave. Midlongitudinal carina of 3 rd tergite hardly distinguishable from other longitudinal striation.

Etymology. Because of the pale brown marks on the otherwise largely black metasoma.

Notes. As all the specimens here were collected at a single locality, it seems likely that they all represent thexcluded from type series are two specimens that differ from brunniguttatus sp. nov. at base 1914 (T not C): 1 ♀, Trang, 27.vii.2005, D. Lohman (voucher BCLDQ00629, Genbank JF962635) and 1 ♀, Trang, 1.viii.2005, D. Lohman (voucher BCLDQ00655, Genbank JQ388428).
